I now have seemingly reliable mouse gestures in Firebird. I never seemed to be able to get them working correctly (well, to my definition of correctly) before. However, the nightly on their site works fine so far. I’m using them in Win/Firebird now, I shall try them in Lin/Fb when I get on the net. This date is set for August 9th, when the nice cable company will come and give us the internet. At last!

I downloaded [e-smith](http://www.e-smith.org) today to act as our router/firewall/etc. Hopefully this will be nice and easy to install as I don't really have time for messing around with it. August 9th is a Saturday, and I'm hoping to have the network up by Sunday evening at the latest... **crosses fingers**.
