Whilst I think that the p800 is nice, the pictures over at this site seem to show that the p810/p900/whatever will be even nicer. I am thinking of changing my phone at the moment, maybe I shall wait until this one comes out before I go out to the shops! If nothing else, it will hopefully bring down the price of the p800, which would be nice =)

A missive on the chatbox problems. After a check of the database table, it appears that the problem is with corrupted date formats. Some of the posts have day/month/year format and others month/day/year. This is a little weird. The dates are generated by the database when items are added. Therefore one would expect them to be in a consistent format. One possible solution is that the server has had a few problems and flipped locale a few times, resulting in the different date formats. I don’t have much idea though…

The V Festival was excellent. I saw all the bands I wanted to see. Worthy of particular mention were the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the Foo Fighters, The Hives, Feeder and Ash, whose sets were all really good.

Ash were my favourites though. I managed to get pretty well right up to the front so my view was really good. I love Ash, so being so close was definitely a thing I liked. As usual, they played an amazing set, all the old favourites. They also played a couple of their new songs. If the new songs were anything like the songs that will be on their forthcoming album, we are in for a treat indeed.

I have altered my formatting scripts to be done via client-side JavaScript, rather than on the server as they were before. This allows me to have a preview of the generated HTML code on the page before I push the post button. This allows me to catch errors and work around them before I post, which in turn saves me the stress of posting completely mangled things and then having to quickly delete them from the database before you see the results of my mishap!
