Quick Update

Well, I had no internet access over Christmas, I guess that I should have mentioned that. I wasn’t too organised - I only just ftp’d my code for working on over the holiday at the last minute. Would have been less than happy if I forgot that!

I just came accross this page, which is a few posts to comp.os.minix from Linus Torvalds, and some commentry by the man himself about the early development of Linux. It’s cool seeing how Linus was thinking when he began.

Not much else to say really, I don’t have any feedback on the beta I posted, so I don’t know what is happening there.

later!

Other dxs

Yes everyone, there are other dxs, for instance the quite cool dx21. Hmm, not much more to write really, just thought I’d pass that on.

Desktop: MIA

Um, don’t ask me why, I checked all the paths and the image does exist… however, the new image of my desktop features a desktop created by me… click the missing image to get the large verison of the desktop, that is there, and it works… oh well…!

A quick request

If anyone would like to do icons for my apps, could they mail me. I just felt that the icons could do with an overhall. You’d get credit, of course, and the knowledge that you helped me with my apps! Thanks in advance… :)

nb this is just for the exe icons, not all the ones in the programs.

A sad day

This is one of those things that makes me both sad and angry.

This is going to far. People somehow managed to defend the guy involved before, why did they do this? I don’t know. Maybe they won’t this time, but we shall see. Anyway, doesn’t really matter now, he has gone too far.

LS2k was one of the best ls sites out there by far, along with FPN, ShellFront, Desktopian and ls.net/com, so there has been a hole left in the community.

Anyway, my respect to jalist for all that he has done. I watched ls2k since it started, and what a great site it turned out to be. We run our sites because it is fun and interesting. The occasional mail we get of support keeps things going, but sometimes the bad just outweighs the good and then we see stuff like this. Such is the way of it.

RIP ls2k…
